I love my Indian food, and back home in the states, I try and get to my favorite spots a couple times a month. Well this place is as good or better than any Indian restaurant I've been to!
I checked Yelp for a restaurant near my hotel, and this one was rated high enough to make me want to go give it a try. The reviews were spot on! I had the lamb vindaloo--hot, just the way I like it. It was fantastic! It also is nice that the naan comes out piping hot and fresh. I hope to get back here again before I leave in the next couple days. If you like good, authentic Indian food, don't pass on this place! I'm still smiling about it! -

Outstanding. Was a little hesitant going in because I've never eaten this type of food before. Came away a fan of Indian/Pakistani cuisine. The menu was immense but gave the beginner good guidance. Service was great. Clean and a little loud but so what. Food was awesome! The only knock might be a limited beer selection. Go if in this neck of the woods and you want non pub food.

Actually spelled Himalaya. Visiting London from Los Angeles. I've been to dozens of Indian restaurants and this one of the best. Great food and service. Nice authentic ambience. Highly recommend it.

A great little place this - having sampled all of Indian restaurants in Stratford, this place serves the most richly cooked food and has the most attentive staff.
A really pleasant experience, and relatively inexpensive - given the number of restaurants available in Stratford I wouldn't say that it ever gets particularly busy - it certainly hasn't been on any of my visits. That being said, its my first choice for Indian food in E15 ;) -

This restaurant serves a good selection of Indian food. It is nicely decorated with an intimate atmosphere.
All the food is freshly prepared and cooked to order including the breads. I hate it when it is obvious that the bread has been cooked earlier then re-heated.
Their vegetable korma is to die for!
It is a good idea to book a table as it gets very busy. The
staff are helpful and give good advice if you are not sure on what to have.
